Biomarker Profiles develops tools/services to discover biomarkers at a faster rate and to help others discover biomarkers. We have 3 product lines: information, biotechnology, and data mining.
Biomarker Information
We use our information for our own research and we getting better at finding information. There are over 15,200 biomarker-disease associations in our in-house database. We use this information along with research data to select biomarkers for further study.
Biomarker Discovery
We use our discovery tools and services to find biomarkers in our research. We offer a full biomarker discovery service including sample acquisition, sample preparation, protein separations, mass spectrometry, data analysis, biomarker selection and access to the online biomarker database.
Data Mining
We use an in-house data analysis method to organize/compare/contrast the results of LC/MS/MS datafiles for our own research. Protein modifications are verified. We find that many of the odd modifications identified by protein identification software are usually a modification of an abundant protein. Our method helps to eliminate this bad data. We offer this data analysis service for research groups that have performed the mass spectrometry and need a little assistance to make sense of the data.
